La Salbaje Surf Eskola is a true local landmark — the very first surf school created on Barinatxe Beach (La Salvaje), where we’ve been offering surf lessons and courses since 2004.

The school is located between the towns of Getxo and Sopela, the latter being a well-known surf hub with two excellent beaches for practicing the sport.

They offer surf courses for all levels and ages — from beginner and intermediate to customized group and private lessons.

Their team includes experienced surf instructors with over 20 years of experience, all holding official Level 1 and Level 2 surf coaching certifications.

Surfcamps and Surf + Accommodation in Surfhouse

They organize and manage surf and multi-adventure camps in collaboration with Moana Surf Camps, through which they also offer surf lessons with accommodation.

Method and surf philosophy in a unique setting

Their courses are backed by a proven teaching method and a philosophy aligned with the spectacular natural environment where their activities take place.

They apply well-developed techniques built through years of experience, addressing both the sport and its environmental impact — teaching wave knowledge, and fostering respect for the sea and its surroundings with a clear focus on conservation and ecology.

They offer group classes, private lessons, classes in English, and surf as a tourist activity. Open all year round, they also provide courses for individuals with a minimum disability of 33%, recognized by the competent authority — no group minimum required, individual lessons available.

Special weekend courses and camps that combine surf, skate, and climbing are also available, with transport service included. What more could you ask for?
