Each year, Razo Beach in Carballo becomes the epicenter of European youth surfing with the celebration of the Cabreiroá Junior Pro Razo, one of the most anticipated events of the WSL Junior Tour. For several days, this Galician beach welcomes the continent’s most promising young surfers, ready to test their skills against long sets, shifting winds, and the wild spirit that defines the Costa da Morte.

But this event is much more than a competition. The Junior Pro Razo is also a vibrant meeting point of cultures, languages, and shared passion for the waves. Along the shore, food stalls, live music, and activities for all audiences bring the beach to life with sport, community, and celebration.

Organized in collaboration with the Carballo City Council, the Galician Surf Federation, and with support from local and national organizations, the event reaffirms Razo’s commitment to a sustainable, educational, and inclusive approach to surfing. Here, the new generations learn both in the water and on land: about the environment, respect, coexistence, and identity.

With each edition, the Junior Pro Razo further cements its place on the World Surf League calendar and serves as a powerful showcase for Galicia’s Atlantic energy. Because in Razo, surfing is not just a sport. It’s culture, it’s territory, and it’s the future.

In partnership with the World Surf League (WSL) and local institutions such as the Carballo Council, the Coruña Provincial Council, and the Galician Government, this championship transforms Razo Beach into an international stage for the most outstanding under-20 surfing talents.
